Foster® 30-30Q™ is a special order low chloride/halogen formulation. When applied to the longitudinal and butt laps of lagging fabrics, it provides strong adhesion to hold the lagging in place. This product provides excellent adhesion to mild or stainless steel, and will not corrode metal.

Insulfas F.R. Lagging Adhesive is halogen free and has superior fire resistance versus all other commercially available lagging adhesives. It meets the requirements of Electric Boat Spec 4013, Pipe Insulation Room Corner Test.

Insulfas F.R. Lagging Adhesive contains no asbestos, lead, mercury, of mercury compounds. Foster® 30-30Q™ Insulfas® F.R. Lagging Adhesive can be supplied to meet the stress corrosion and chemicalanalysis requirements of MIL-I-24244C or nuclear regulatory guide 1.36 on special order.

Insulfas F.R. Lagging Adhesive meets Military Specification MIL-A-3316C Class 1, Grade A except for the washability requirement. It is a preferred alternative where increased fire resistance is desired.

NAVSEA has issued an allowance letter for the use of Insulfas F.R. Lagging Adhesive with plain cloth (uncoated) lagging as an acceptable alternative to MIL-C-20079 rewettable lagging.
